Do you offer Reformer Pilates?
At SHE, we believe that Pilates on the mat is a safer and equally (if not more) effective alternative to using reformers. Mat Pilates provides you with greater control over your movements, significantly reducing the risk of injuries while delivering excellent results. To enhance your mat Pilates experience, we incorporate the use of accessories such as dumbbells, resistance bands, balls, and straps. These tools help to intensify your workouts, improve muscle strength, enhance flexibility, and build stability. For these reasons, we focus exclusively on teaching mat Pilates, along with yoga.
2. Do you offer hot yoga classes?
Recent studies show that the sweat released through movement during exercise contains significantly more toxins than sweat released while sitting in a heated room. While we agree that practicing in a warmer space during Canada’s winter months can be comforting, we prioritize movement for optimal detoxification. That’s why we offer a few heated classes per week during the winter season, with temperatures no higher than 27°C. This ensures you sweat through movement, promoting better toxin release and overall health compared to 40°C hot yoga.
